The Zigante Truffle Days also contribute to the affirmation of Livade as the hub of the truffle world in the third millennium as well as of the Istrian truffle in general, particularly the white truffle. It is an event held each year in autumn for ten consecutive weekends – from mid-September to mid-November. The Zigante Truffle Days are primarily an international fair of the prized white truffle. They are the largest Croatian and regional truffle exhibition. They also include an international exhibition of wines and other autochthonous Istrian products (such as the Istrian prosciutto, sausages, cheese, honey, olive oils, spirits etc.), cooking workshops, demonstrations of truffle hunting in the forest, and various tastings.
